Welcome to the New Year Open House

 We are excited to see all families out for our ‘Welcome to the New Year’ Meet the Teacher event. Please drop in to your child’s classrooms and check out the documentation panels in the hallways any time between 4:30 – 7:00!

Our Parent Fundraising Society has confirmed that we will have 10 Leadership students from North Trail High School helping outside with optional family games that will be in the courtyard and grass area for families to partake.

They have also confirmed that the following food trucks will be set up in the Hug & Go loop and will be serving food (for those families interested in purchasing) starting at 4:30:

-        The Rolling Munchies (serving things such as chicken wraps, pulled pork tacos, fish & chips, wings, etc.)

-        The Burrito Mexican Truck (serving things like burritos, quesadillas, nachos, etc.)

-        Viet to Go (serving things like spring rolls, salad rolls, Vietnamese subs, etc.)

-        Ribo Chicko (serving things like roasted chicken, jerk chicken wraps, fries, veg spring rolls, etc.)

-        Frozen Assets (serving things like ice cream sandwiches, fresh fruit popsicles, as well as vegan and gluten free options)

We look forward to seeing everyone!

Please note, the Hug & Go loop will be CLOSED for after school pick up on this day (Thursday, September 26). Families will need to make alternative arrangements on where to meet their children in advance. Thanks!

 Friday, August 30 We had an awesome first week of school, the time went by fast!  Some highlights from the past two days were: Time capsules: We have been writing a letter to our future selves to read at the end of grade 5 and grade 12.  Students have been including details about their summer, their interests and goals for this year. Shipwrecked: To build leadership and resiliency, we played a game called Shipwrecked.  Students in 5D worked as a team to cross from one side of the soccer field to the other by only standing on 10 sit upons.  The students moved almost halfway across the field without touching the grass!  It was amazing to hear all of the words of encouragement and strategy. Math and Literacy: We eased back into learning by playing math and literacy games.
