SIGN UP FOR PARENT / TEACHER / STUDENT LEARNING CONFERENCES

Our Parent/Teacher/Student Learning Conferences will be in person at Northern Lights School on November 28 and 29. We ask all families to make time to attend this important conference where teachers will be discussing learning progress to this point in the year. Conferences will be 15-minutes in length for students in Kindergarten to Grade 5. 

Parents and guardians must book their own conference time through their MyCBE parent account. (Please use a computer or laptop, not a Smart phone to access your MyCBE account if you are having difficulties.) 

Conference Dates: 

November 28:  4:30 pm - 8:00 pm 

November 29: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm 

Today was Rock your Mocs day in honour of Metis Week.  



Students were introduced to the non-fiction literacy centre.  Students showed their learning about nonfiction books in a variety of ways while exploring new topics such as extreme weather and climate.

 Friday, August 30 We had an awesome first week of school, the time went by fast!  Some highlights from the past two days were: Time capsules: We have been writing a letter to our future selves to read at the end of grade 5 and grade 12.  Students have been including details about their summer, their interests and goals for this year. Shipwrecked: To build leadership and resiliency, we played a game called Shipwrecked.  Students in 5D worked as a team to cross from one side of the soccer field to the other by only standing on 10 sit upons.  The students moved almost halfway across the field without touching the grass!  It was amazing to hear all of the words of encouragement and strategy. Math and Literacy: We eased back into learning by playing math and literacy games.
