We have been studying the different regions in Canada. In addition to research, students analyzed pictures from their region and used Maker Space pieces to recreate their region.

In our studies about climate and weather, students got to choose one city anywhere in the world to research. They are comparing the climate in their city to a city in a different climate zone.


Students shared many different styles of music on Music Sharing Friday.





We built addition fluency with our grade two buddies!







This was our last day to practice our soccer skills! Good sportsmanship was showed by all students!

 Friday, August 30 We had an awesome first week of school, the time went by fast!  Some highlights from the past two days were: Time capsules: We have been writing a letter to our future selves to read at the end of grade 5 and grade 12.  Students have been including details about their summer, their interests and goals for this year. Shipwrecked: To build leadership and resiliency, we played a game called Shipwrecked.  Students in 5D worked as a team to cross from one side of the soccer field to the other by only standing on 10 sit upons.  The students moved almost halfway across the field without touching the grass!  It was amazing to hear all of the words of encouragement and strategy. Math and Literacy: We eased back into learning by playing math and literacy games.
