It was amazing to see everyone at Parent-teacher conferences yesterday and today. Thank you very much for taking the time to come in!

This week in math we have been working on adding and subtracting numbers in the millions with decimals to the thousandths place. Students have been paying attention to detail to ensure their place values (decimals) are aligned.

Use this Jeopardy link if students want to practice.

In Literacy and Social Studies, we've been learning about the different regions of Canada. Researching the Hudson Bay Lowlands was teacher modelled. Then, as a class, we worked together to take notes about the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Lowlands. This week, students worked in pairs to practice taking notes on the most important information about the Arctic region.

After creating art with the loose parts cart last week, we studied the same Canadian artists' work.  Each region's landscape was explored with pastel, acrylic or water colour paint.

Stay warm this weekend!
