Monday, March 10 + Homework

Just a reminder that students have an Ojibwe Star Story to complete for homework.  Please bring the completed work back to school by Wednesday, March 12.  The information is in the Google Classroom assignments.  Students log into Google Classroom almost daily, so should be able to log in at home.  Students need to make sure they type the e-mail end, "@educbe.ca".

We will have a Show What you Know on Thursday, March 13 about the Reasons for the Seasons.  Here is a Google Slide presentation to review the concept if needed.

We had a student presentation about Ramadan and Eid today!

 Friday, August 30 We had an awesome first week of school, the time went by fast!  Some highlights from the past two days were: Time capsules: We have been writing a letter to our future selves to read at the end of grade 5 and grade 12.  Students have been including details about their summer, their interests and goals for this year. Shipwrecked: To build leadership and resiliency, we played a game called Shipwrecked.  Students in 5D worked as a team to cross from one side of the soccer field to the other by only standing on 10 sit upons.  The students moved almost halfway across the field without touching the grass!  It was amazing to hear all of the words of encouragement and strategy. Math and Literacy: We eased back into learning by playing math and literacy games.
