Field Trip Tomorrow

 Hello Grade 5 Families,

We are looking forward to a fun field trip tomorrow to Nose Hill Park on the 14th st. side.

We will be leaving at 9:30 a.m. and returning at about 2:30 p.m.

Remember to bring hats, sunscreen, a lunch, healthy snacks and lots of water in your backpacks.

 Friday, August 30 We had an awesome first week of school, the time went by fast!  Some highlights from the past two days were: Time capsules: We have been writing a letter to our future selves to read at the end of grade 5 and grade 12.  Students have been including details about their summer, their interests and goals for this year. Shipwrecked: To build leadership and resiliency, we played a game called Shipwrecked.  Students in 5D worked as a team to cross from one side of the soccer field to the other by only standing on 10 sit upons.  The students moved almost halfway across the field without touching the grass!  It was amazing to hear all of the words of encouragement and strategy. Math and Literacy: We eased back into learning by playing math and literacy games.
