 IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES

June 25 – Report Cards open to parents via their MyCBE accounts

June 25 – 9:30 am - Play Day activities for Grades 1-5 (Our theme this year is Movie Characters…students can dress up as their favourite character from their favourite movie.)

June 25 - 2:215 - Grade 5 Send Off! All families invited. Students will be wearing their tie dyed shirts!

June 26 – Movie and pajama day! 1:05 dismissal for Gr. 1-5 and the last day of classes

June 27 – ALL Lost & Found items being donated

Please note the details for the week.

  1. (Grades 1-5) Play Day is Wednesday. Make sure your child dresses for varied weather and brings a water bottle.
  2. On Play Day we are providing Freezies. PARENTS THAT DO NOT WANT THEIR CHILD TO HAVE ONE MUST EMAIL US and can send an alternative treat for their child to enjoy that day.
  3. Thursday is an early dismissal day and school is out at 1:05 NOT 3:35. Families need to make arrangements for the 1:05 dismissal.

 Friday, August 30 We had an awesome first week of school, the time went by fast!  Some highlights from the past two days were: Time capsules: We have been writing a letter to our future selves to read at the end of grade 5 and grade 12.  Students have been including details about their summer, their interests and goals for this year. Shipwrecked: To build leadership and resiliency, we played a game called Shipwrecked.  Students in 5D worked as a team to cross from one side of the soccer field to the other by only standing on 10 sit upons.  The students moved almost halfway across the field without touching the grass!  It was amazing to hear all of the words of encouragement and strategy. Math and Literacy: We eased back into learning by playing math and literacy games.   IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES June 16 – Grade Fives: White T-Shirt for your tie-dye activity are due today June 16 – Imagination Day – Classes will engage in various activities to spark imagination throughout the day. Students may choose to dress up or have creative hair / headwear, redo anything from a past Spirit Day, etc. June 19 – Pizza Fun Lunch – Order at healthyhunger.ca by June 14 June 20 – 9:15 am – Volunteer Tea for our volunteers.
